Vegan Coconut Milk Donuts.

Vegan Coconut Milk Donuts.

I’m not much of a sweets person and I really could just eat Brownies once a month and be perfectly content. I’m more of a savory person and enjoy crispy crunchy foods. However my daughter told me she wanted donuts tonight, I know I shared a chocolate vegan donuts recipe but my baby girl AmirahLee wanted chocolate icing and cake like base. So here is the yummy recipe below.

CALI.

I’ve never had my life planned out for me. I just knew what I was going to do in this life. I think my style of living is due to my mother and her being a free spirited hippie. I just said to myself, at some point I’ll be a mother, a professional dancer and a paid writer/author.

This neighborhood once housed the only theater (The Lincoln Theater) that blacks were allowed to visit and find entertainment. It has been restored and now houses so many amazing activities, including my daughters African dance class. The…

Are You Uncomfortable Or Hurting?

Are You Uncomfortable Or Hurting?

I live my life with the theory that I cannot care what others think of me. It’s important to live your life fearless and with purpose. I have a motto that if I am not hurting myself or others then I am free to do as I please. The problem is that most people confuse discomfort and pain with one another.

Women.

I love women. I say this all the time, but I’ve always been a girls girl. I’ve never had a hard time connecting with other women and I believe it has everything to do with my ability to think of others. (more…)

Just add some Oats…

Just add some Oats…

In our eternal search to mix up our smoothie recipes, this morning I blended in some oats to our berry smoothie. Oats are a good ingredient to add to a smoothie to add both texture and more body and substance. You can grind the oats before you add the other ingredients or add the oats wholly straight from the container. The oatmeal blends well with any of the fruits and vegetables you decide to…
